GT BATTLE – 25th June, Rockingham

Santreo Promotions are proud to announce an awesome new event that every petrol head and car enthusiast will not want to miss: GT BATTLE. Held at Rockingham Motor Speedway on Saturday 25 th June, it will feature two awesome competitions:

UK TIME ATTACK will bring together 70 of the fastest road-legal modified cars on the planet. Each will compete against the clock on a section of Rockingham’s infield ‘street’ circuit. Huge cash prizes, superb trophies and title of UK Time Attack Champion will be awarded after the 15 car final shootout.

UK DRIFT BATTLE will be held simultaneously on a different section of track and will feature 60 of the UK’s best drift cars and drivers. After initial qualifying, the finalists will compete in two-car battles for the title of UK Drift Battle Champion. As with the TIME ATTACK, fantastic cash prizes and trophies will be presented to the winning cars and drivers.

Time Attack and Drift Battle competitors will all have to apply for places in advance, but for anyone who wants to compete on the day, the pit straight will become a drag strip for the day for the 0-60 TRAFFIC LIGHT GRAND PRIX. In true GT BATTLE style, prizes and trophies will be up for grabs.

SPECTATORS will have the choice of 5 grandstands, infield or the pit garage roof, allowing first class views of all the action. If nine hours of high excitement sounds too much to handle, you can always take a more sedate look around the competitor/trade paddocks, show ‘n’ shine competition and club car displays.

CONFIRMED COMPETITORS include

Triple TOTB winner ‘Rocket’ Ronnie and his 200mph+ Skyline.
Sumo Power will have their new EVO 8 track car, plus their new 350z drift weapon.
RC Developments and their 900bhp Evo.
Simon Norris (builder of world’s fastest Evo) and his brand new car.
And Redline magazine’s 606bhp Sierra Cosworth.

THE BOTTOM LINE is that GT BATTLE will be a spectacle never seen before and the 25 th June should be a date in every true petrol-head’s diary.
