GT Battle - Rockingham Facilities

Competitor Facilities

Rockingham Motor Speedway has a range of facilities specifically for GT Battle competitors. The Time Attack and Drift Battle competitors will each be assigned their own paddock areas. These areas will have waist level metal fencing and a security presence. Access to the paddock areas will be through a stewarded gate/s and only persons with relevant passes
will have access.

Rockingham Pit Lane

Pit garages will also be available that are directly within the assigned paddock area. These are provided so as competitors, if required, have a covered and un-overlooked area to carry out repairs/modifications to their cars. Each pit garage has compressed air hook-ups, 240v electricity, fire extinguishers, lighting and hot and cold running water. These garages can also be used to store your equipment safely. Please ensure that garages are fairly used by all competitors in your paddocks. These garages must also be kept clean and tidy and free.

Competing cars will be scrutineered prior to taking part in Time Attack or Drift Battle. Scrutineering will be in situ within your paddock area. At the allotted time the scrutineer will make his way around the paddock area and pass your vehicle fit to compete. Time Attack and Drift will have their own dedicated scrutineer for the day. Any cars not being deemed safe will not be eligible to compete until the safety issues have been rectified. The scrutineer will only be providing secondary checks to your own and for this reason we appreciate your working with them to ensure a safe event and smooth running event for all concerned.

A Texaco petrol station is on-site within the paddock area and this can provide Unleaded and Super Unleaded for competitors only. It will be open for the duration of the event with an attendant in place.

Texaco Fuel - available on-site

Competitors will also benefit from a dedicated entrance/exit from the main road outside of Rockingham to the paddock area. Please note that the security on this gate are under strict instructions to only allow vehicles through displaying the relevant pass access.

Rockinghams full medical facilities and emergency unit are in place if required. The facility is staffed by medical professionals, as you would expect from a venue that has had Champ Cars racing at average lap speeds of 215mph. No one will be achieving these speeds on the day but I am sure it is comforting to know that if an incident does occur that you will receive the best help possible.

Rockingham Medical Centre

We are utilising the Recovery and Track Support of Rockinghams on-site team throughout the day. They have vast knowledge of the Rockingham circuit/s and are without doubt the best in providing on track clean up/repairs and recovery of your vehicle if required. If you do leave the track for any reason please await instruction from the team before attempting to get back on track.

On track Marshalling will also be provided by Rockingham.

You will be required to attend a briefing in the morning prior to the
event where all aspects of your event will be covered. This will be held in one of the pit garages that is within your paddock area. This garage area will also be your centralized point of contact for any help you may require throughout the day. This garage may also be used as a rest and relaxation area for drivers and their friends. Access will require the correct pass that you will have been given.

Time Attack and Drift Battle personnel will be on hand throughout the day within your paddock areas to help you. They will be noticeable by their clothing specific to your event. They are there to
help you.

ALL GT Battle personnel, either in the briefing/rest/paddock
area will be in radio contact with each other. If you require help or
assistance then please ask them.
